Minimum Job Requirements: · BA in Accounting · 3-5 years of previous experience in general accounting and reporting, preferably at a financial institution · Excellent computer skills - Microsoft office (Excel & Word) is required, LOANIQ and Oracle is preferred · Strong communication skills · Ability to multi-task required · CPA is a plus Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the performance of the daily accounting for the various investment products held by various Firm entities within the Principal Credit Group (PCG) businesses. · Obtaining and analyzing information from multiple sub-ledger systems. · Expected to develop a thorough understanding of each of the various products and the appropriate generally accepted accounting principle treatment. · Responsible for assisting in the month-end close process by recording journal entries and reconciling account balances. · Involved in the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal reports. The candidate will work in the Accounting and Finance department of the Principal Credit Group business area. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day legal accounting for the various investment products. This position will work closely with the Manager in the group. This candidate, along with the Manager will be the primary accounting/finance contacts for the business. This position provides the day-to-day accounting and reporting for the investments held by the Principal Credit Group.
