Technology Audit Specialists focus on reducing technology risk and enhancing the control environment. This is accomplished by: reviewing IT applications and infrastructure, making recommendations to improve controls and reduce risk to the firm; coordinating or assisting in firm's technology projects that help reduce risk and assisting senior management in incident analysis and follow-up. The technology audit function is performed by two broad groups: Application IT audit group, which focuses on audits of system implementations and Enterprise Technology (ET) audit group, which focuses on system infrastructure: Responsibilities: -Establishing the scope and plan of audits -Validating system features to requirements -Analyzing business and technology processes focusing on evaluation and testing of internal controls -Cooperating with financial auditors in assessing operational and financial risks -Drafting the results of the audit assessment in a written report -Presenting orally the results to internal IT and business clients -Managing internal IT client relationships for assigned projects -Coordinating with internal and external audit groups Experience and Skills: General Requirements: - Enterprise-level Project Management Lifecycle (Best Practices, Requirements, Design, QA, and System Deployment) -Technology audit/ risk assessments -Data Analysis (e.g. audit tools such as ACL) -Financial product knowledge and related experience in the brokerage industry -Strong analytical skills and confident in interacting across many levels at the firm -Certification or industry accreditation (such as CISA or CISSP) is a plus -Relational Database Management (Sybase, Oracle, etc) Distributed Computing (J2EE, CORBA, RPC, etc). - Object-Oriented Modeling and Programming (UML, C++, Java, etc and messaging middleware (GHOST, FIX, JMS, etc) -Real-time Trade Processing Web-based development and deployment (XML, Web Services, applications servers, e.g. Weblogic, etc) Specific needs for F & B group application auditor - Experience of auditing of systems for enterprise wide accounting and books and records. - Experience of credit and market risk systems - Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements - General understanding of the Basel Accords
