Associate-Financial Reporting E-Commerce

Part of the Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities Controllers, specifically supporting the e-commerce business. Principal Responsibilities •Responsible for accounting and reporting for GS investments in E-commerce ventures for both FICC and Equities. More specifically, responsibilities include: •Review venture financial statements and record monthly P&L for GS investments. Coordinate with relevant Product Controllers for reporting purposes. •Work with Accounting Policy, Legal, Tax, and the E-commerce group to determine accounting impact to Firm for specific transactions. •Review documents for new investments to determine appropriate accounting methodology with Accounting Policy. •Prepare monthly management reports for the E-commerce group. •Provide periodic information to the Tax Department. •Prepare ad hoc analyses for the E-commerce group and Controllers Management. •Responsible for consolidating firm-wide exchange/clearing company memberships and investments information. •Prepare monthly management reports for the e-commerce group. •Liaise with Accounting Policy, SAO’s, Financial Reporting to ensure consistency of reporting. Experience/Skills •Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred •3 – 5 years financial services experience •Committed to a career in financial services •Able to work in a team under pressure •Strong interpersonal and analytical skills •Ability to use initiative and work accurately with minimum supervision •Inquisitive and enthusiastic •Good PC skills (word, excel)
