Part of the Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities Controllers, specifically supporting the legal entity reporting involved in Fixed Income Currency and Commodity trading. Principal Responsibilities: Involvement in producing monthly management accounts under US GAAP. Maintain control of the Firm’s books and ledgers-including all subledgers. Developing a broad understanding of the Fixed Income Currency and Commodity business, information flows and accounting procedures Specific responsibilities for sections of the month end process which would include: Record Monthly Pnl – provide analytics Creating monthly financial statements, quarterly 10Q’s and annual 10K’s Liaison with the Tax Department, Financial Reporting DMR, Global Controls, Regulatory, Corporate Treasury , Operations and Trading Performing intercompany reconciliations, resolving outstanding items and developing relations with overseas offices Develop an understanding and account for a new business unit, assuming SAO responsibilities Review current processes, evaluate alternatives, and initiate change primarily through automation Experience/Skills: Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred 5-7 years financial services experience Committed to a career in financial services Able to work in a team under pressure Strong interpersonal and analytical skills Ability to use initiative and work accurately with minimum supervision Inquisitive and enthusiastic Good PC skills (word, excel)
