Associate Auditor, GMI Technology Audit
New York

Minimum Job Requirements: · Three to five years information technology audit experience, preferably with a degree in IS and a minor in accounting/finance · Excellent relationship management and team building skills · Strong analytical, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills · CPA and/or CISA preferred · Experience auditing trading and back-office applications desired, as well as system development projects Position Description: Firm's Corporate Audit Department examines, evaluates, and reports on the adequacy of internal controls within Firm in order to contribute to the proper, efficient, and effective use of resources. Corporate Audit includes about 150 professionals worldwide who focus on our Global Markets and Investment Banking (GMI), Global Private Client, Investment Management businesses, and Technology. GMI Technology Audit, located in New York City, is responsible for auditing the technology environment supporting Firm's GMI division, which includes our equity, fixed income, and derivatives businesses. As an Associate Auditor, you will: · Plan and execute risk-based and pre-implementation audits, and report conclusions to GMI management · Partner with business and technology management to manage technology risks by identifying control deficiencies and helping them develop procedures to improve their controls environment · Work in a team-based environment using automated work paper tools · Develop and maintain business relationships to stay current with business and technology activities and risks · Identify control themes and assist with presentations to client management on opportunities to improve the controls environment of their businesses · Participate in new product or service development task forces, and acquisition due diligence projects, with cross-functional teams · Work with Corporate Audit team members to continuously improve audit processes · Gain knowledge on how the Securities Industry works and the key role of our firm within the industry
